R.I.P Aereogramme

It is with heavy hearts that we tell you all that Aereogramme have decided to split up. Reasons are multiple and complex. It is however fair to say that the never ending financial struggle coupled with an almost superhuman ability to dodge the zeitgeist have taken their toll, ensuring that we just don't have any fight left in us.
I have been so caught up in exams recently that I didn't even see this when it was posted on Friday. This sucks, Aereogramme have been one of my favorite bands for a while now. It started with "Sleep and Release", followed by "A Story in White", until I was finally able to pick up the highly recommended "Seclusion" and finally their most recent album that was just released in February. My favorite songs, in no order, were:
- A Simple Process of Elimination
- Indescretion #243
- Lightning Strikes The Postman
- Post-Tour, Pre-Judgement
- Conscious Life for Coma Boy
- Nightmares
- A Meaningful Existence
Arg, I could go through their entire collection! I just love the band, love their sound. This is a sad day.
But, I hope the guys go on to bigger and better things. So, here's to you, Aereogramme...
